Hi Everyone,
First of all I would really thank all in this forum in actively helping out with immigration issues.
Secondly, I have a question regarding my brother's green card.
I am a citizen who had sponsered my younger brother in India for US green card in 1993. Recently his visa became current and now he's scheduled for interview in Jan 2006(Consular processing). My problem is that we were looking forward to him getting married before his green card so that his wife can accompany him here. But now the interview date is already here and we still haven't even started looking for a match for him. So what are my options. He's 25 now.
1. If he waits to get his citizenship in 6-7 years, he will be well past 32, just waiting to get married.
2. If he comes here and then gets married back home, then he must do F2A processing for his wife, that will take too long.
3. Is it possible to rescheule the interview 6-7 months ahead?
4. What kind of problems should I expect?

Please I would really appreciate with all the help and advices I can get.
thanks you
Mona

1) It's possible to reschedule an interview. Send an email to Consulate in India with Case No. BMBXXXXX...Not sure about how to include his wife in the green card process but you can always explore that option and include that in the email...Just present, hypothetical situation...
2) Go for the interview, get GC, and then try to get his wife on Fiance Visa. Once in US, you can get married in church and register your marriage. This way she'll be with him and will not have to wait.

MUMBAIIV@state.gov.....email for Mumbai consulate. Similiarly, you can find the other consulates in India.
