Bringing my wife to US

Hello,

I need to bring my wife here, we were married before I485 approval, my case is through EB3. I have following questions regarding filing I-824.
1. Can I use PO Box as my mailing address? My home address is not deliverable.
2. In Part 2, should I check Box D? If yes, which consulate will be informed, my home country? Will I get any approval notice, I would like to get it and go to my home country and come back with my wife actually.
3. Part 3. “principle beneficiary of original petition”, is this me or my wife name and address?
4. It says “attach the copy of original petition” does this mean I need to attach my I140/I485 concurrent application with all the pages?
5. It also asks copy of N-550, what is this I do not have something like that, I have I-551 my passport stamp.

Any help will greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,

>>I have following questions regarding filing I-824.

in 824 you can write 'P.O Box' in mailing address only,
but in 'Home Addr column' should write (Your - if issue than realtive/friend) physical address.

>>2. In Part 2, should I check Box D? If yes, which consulate will be informed, my home country? Will I get any approval notice, I would like to get it and go to my home country and come back with my wife actually.

I believe its 'C' where it say
The CIS to notify a U.S. Consulate that my status has been adjusted to
permanent resident. Please notify the U.S. Consulate at:

and write the nearest consulate where they do provide/process Immigrant visas, and not only for US Citizens. check the web site of consulate first.

>>3. Part 3. “principle beneficiary of original petition”, is this me or my wife name and address?

Don't be confuse with this,

YOU are the beneficiary and in all 824 form only your info will be written,
You must use a simple seprate sheet of your spouse info. with heading
"Addendum to I-824." and Don't forget to include your A# in it.
The addendum sheet Write her

name (as it appears on her passport)
D.O.B
Place of birth
Address
Phone at home counrty
Email (give urs if she don't have)
date of marriage
and the type of application you intend to file for her (FTJ).
Hope this helps.

Note: when u send 824 application, also compose the simple cover letter,
with simple english why u are sending this, also list of all doc u are sending with this /Check List, every single doc name including 'Check/money order with amout and #'. make copy of all before u send, + must sign on cover letter

>>4. It says “attach the copy of original petition” does this mean I need to attach my I140/I485 concurrent application with all the pages?

Its mean Copy of 485 (All will be fine). they want to look if u have included her name before(I beleive). send both if u have but they need only the petition/applicaion 485 on based u are asking them to take further Action and infor consulate that ur status has been adjusted.

>>5. It also asks copy of N-550, what is this I do not have something like that, I have I-551 my passport stamp.

It is not applicable on 'as GC holder' u are not citizen yet.

if u feel comfortable u may send ur email addr in pvt msg. I do have some doc it may help u in the path you are walking on :D

Regarding to my question 2: Will I get any approval notice if I check box C? I would like to get approval notice too so that I can take it to my home country with me, I am planning to visit there.
Thank you.

If u mean 824 approval letter then YES, after approval they would send u .

But in FTJ case the approval letter is not required, once u get 824 receipt,

send the following doc to consulate to request initiate FTJ for ur spouse,

- Copy of Alien Resident Card (Green Card) (if available )
- Copy of I-485 (Form I-797) Approval from USCIS
- Copy of I-140 approval /797
- Copy of 824 receipt
- Notarized copy of Passport (your) with I-551 stamp
- Passport.
- Your All Passport with all pages.
- Spouse Birth Certificate
- Spouse Passport (if available)
- Marriage certificate

thats it, send the above docs to them to request initiate FTJ .
