Bring Surrogate child from India

Greetings,

We are a naturalized US citizen married Indian couple. We want to hire surrogate mother in India and have our child (biologically ours, no donor egg or sperm). But before jumping into the unknown I would like to know, what are the legal complications involved in it? After our child is born can we bring it to US immediately? Since baby will be born in India, how can I apply for citizenship? Will I have to live in India till baby gets US citizenship?

Please give me legal advise on this issue.
