Guys,

When I went yesterday to apply for Advance Parole I realized that the new fee schedule is in place and the fee for Advance Parole is now $305. I travel once a year to visit my parents and I think it is my time to protest.

As a person stuck in USCIS backlogs I decided to stop encouraging USCIS keeping me as a half-way through and yet benefit from it. I stop renewing my AP unless I absolutely must. Neither will american airlines will see me as a customer buying tickets for travel.

Boycott new interim benefits fee schedule!

I agree with you that people like you and I (too stuck in NC) become a cash cow for USCIS. I'll have to renew two APs and EADs for myself and spouse, that's a lot of cash. I'd be half as bad if money from increased fees went to eliminate backlogs, but my understanding is that nobody is going to do anything about NC blackhole anytime soon.

Really now people I agree its anger inducing....but you really think THEY care???!!!.....one less immigrant on American Airlines isnt going to cause a hiccup.....and one less AP...no fly off USCIS's back. You can protest your voice hoarse and things will never change......PERIOD....unless those spineless NRIs who have the political clout stop licking political shoes for social security and business contracts and think about their times as an immigrant and push the congress to pass some reforms. Non resident Immigrant Caucus donated 1.2 million dollars to each part election fund......and what issues do they want tackled??? Is there any talk about expediting "legal" immigrant issues?......SADLY nah.....lol.....typical Immigrant mentality.....once we are citizens WHO CARES.....I am sure you and I will be the same....its in our blood to be subservient....my 2 cents

Look at the BRIGHT side:

1. At least they GIVE you an AP and EAD option so that your work and travel plans are not hampered. Ideally they could have refused to do that and you could have protested all you wanted.

2. The approvals for these things are not RETROGRESSED...lol.....at least the approvals for EAD and AP....are faster and not subject to caps- AT LEAST FOR NOW.....

3. Well....2 are enough I think :-)
