Both me and my sister (we are the only children) are here in the US and my sister is sponsoring my parents for Visa.

I have two questions

1. Can we not, state that both of us are in the US, on the application ?
I am assuming the answer is no. from what I am hearing, it seems to be better to tell the truth.

So in that case, how can my parents prove they have good ties to India, and that they will go back. We will show some property. But how can we solidify our case ? My dad is retiring 10 days from his visa interview.

2. My sister is sponsoring the visa. how do we answer the question, why the son is not sponsoring ?

please help if you have any opinions.

Thanks,

1. Tell truth.
2. It is not mandatory for son to sponsor. Anyone can sponsor. Anyway, you can give real reason, whatever it may be, such as not earning enough etc.

You can prepare by reading http://www.immihelp.com/visitor-visa/

My experience. My Wife and his brother are in US and Iam sponsoring my In-laws. Their visa got rejected twice. ZFirst time my MIL alone went. Hence second time we tried with FIL and MIL. Still they rejected..they did not give any time to show the proof. Iam wondering why? But we tried on Nove 2'2004. That could be a reason.

So, never tell the truth.
