I was in Boston INS yesterday. As of Nov 12 2002 they are open only till 12:00 pm. So anyone planning to go there should be
advised of this new timings. They are closed every 3rd Friday
of the month, except in December when they will be closed for
2 days in Christmas, instead of 3rd Friday.

what's the difference?

Now that Boston only takes AP (renewal) application and then send you home waiting, what difference does it make if I send my paperwork to Vermont?

Maybe ... when you submit your application to them, do they need to see you in person and verify your identity? If yes,
how am I supposed to benefit from that?

I live in the Lowell, MA area. For AP renewal, do I have to go to Boston? Can I send my AP renewal app to Vermont?

Re: what's the difference?

jian42,

VSC supercedes all offices under its jurisdiction. So go ahead and send your application to VSC. Only time you will have to use Boston, is when you get your approval and have to go for your stamping.

Thanks

Thank you. 180Days.

Now can someone give me an estimate how long it will take at VSC to process AP renewal? What's the worst case scenario?

I never paid attention to AP related posts before because I always took the shortcut and went to Boston office.
