Bongo, did u go for FP on Saturday?

Oakland ASC was closed!

Hi,

I also received my FP notice last week for Oakland on Nov 8.
My WAC is WAC-231-xxxxx.
I went to the Oakland ASC on Saturday morning, but it was closed.
A sign said "closed for Oct 6 holiday", whatever that means.
I\'m guessing they were closed for the long weekend (Columbus Day is
supposedly a federal holiday)

Right ASC was closed on Saturday

I\'ll try this Friday.

Since Oakland was closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday then
early during this week there will be long queues, so I don\'t
think going before Friday will be profitable.

Everyone post their experiences so we know when to go and what
to say when trying to get FP early at Oakland.
 
Bongo & Bhagwan, FP Done prior to schedule...

Hi all,

We happened to be in the city (SFO), and tried to get our FP done. Also, by looking at this site so much, figured, since none of the San Francisco folks have received FP notices, it would be the best choice (even though we passed right thru\' Oakland, we live in Fremont).

It was smooth and had no problems. Reached the office around 2:45 was out by 3:05PM. When we went in, there were calling number 94, we had numbers 98 & 99.

No questions regarding why we showed up early, nothing... just took our applications and moistened our hands, took our prints and was out by 3:05.

Now to wait and call FBI.

I\'ll probably try on Saturday afternoon in Oakland itself - will keep Board posted - I agree with your time guess.
 
FP done at Santa Rosa

ND 06/04, WAC 01-201-xxxxx, FP scheduled for Oakland on 11/09 but done at Santa Rosa on 10/09.
It was very cool exp. no questions asked. I went at 3:00 pm and there no person waiting.

Try early FP in Oakland this afternoon. No success

I just tried early FP in Oakland this afternoon. No success.

There is an african-American sitting by the entrance. When he saw the scheduled date, he told me to come on that date. Then I asked him whether we could come around 2 weeks early. Answer is no.
Then I ask whether I can do in other ASC because I live closer. He didn\'t say no but he said Oakland ASC takes care of all the FP in Alameda county.

My FP is scheduled in Oakland on 11/2/01.

Please update me if you know I am fine to do the FP in the other ASC center.
