Bizzare trail of I485 approval notices

Guys,

My wife and I got I485 approved on 01/23/02.
We had changed address and our address on record at
the INS was different to our current address.

I got my courtesy copy forwarded in the mail (even
though the INS envelope says, "Return Service Requested&quot.

The attorney got my approval notice on 01/25/02 but
my wife\'s notice came 02/06/02.

We assume that my wife\'s courtesy copy was lost in the
mail. Till now. It had been returned to the INS and the
INS had resent it to our new address. For those of you who
have got their mail forwarded, you know they stick a yellow
sticker on it, so I guess this is how the INS worked out
our new address.

Good to know,

We have been thinking about changing our reisdence area but have avoided doing so mainly because of the concern you stated above.
But can\'t you just take the lawyer\'s copy and go for approval (the copy INS sends to you is courtesy copy anyways!)
