Birth Place mismatch. Plz help

Hi,

All the information in my birth certificate matches my passport except my birth place. Birth cerificate has correct birth place 'A' but passport has incorrect one 'B'. I cannot get "non-availability" certificate because both A and B are villages in taluk C where all the births in A and B are registered and taluk C has my birth record.

How do I proceed? Please advise.

Get birth certificate (BC) from Indian Embassay/consulate in your area. They give it based on passport. It is valid. My friend got REF for not submitting birth certificate from Texas SC. He gave one that he got issued from Indian consuate in Houston. He got his GC in 2 weeks after submission of BC.
Believe it.

I also submitted BC for me and wife from Indian consulate in Houston.
 
I live in California. Anybody knows Birth Certificate from Indian Consulate accepted in California service center? Thanks.
