Birth Certificate

Hello all,

As I didn't have any one in India to get me a Birth Certificate from the local municipality, I managed to get Birth Certificate from the local Indian Consulate here in US and applied for I-485. Would there be any RFE on it or did any one ever encounter this type of situation.

A birth Certificate form an Indian Consulate simply states that as recorded in your passport, you DOB is XXX. This is not an acceptable document for BCIS. YOu will need either a) a complete birth certificate with both parents' names, or b) A letter of non availability of birth certificate from the registrar of birth records AND affidavits from your parents.
