Dear Gurus

Have a very important question regarding wife's birth certificate.
The birth was registered but it only states thet it was a female baby. It however gives her exact date of birth as mentined in the school records and also mentions the names of parents.

Now, is it enough to get my mother in law to swear an affidavit saying thet the female baby is indeed my wife ie get a certificate mentioning her name?

Has anybody run into such a problem earlier?

Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

I have exactly same situation and

my lawyer told me to get affidavit made by her parent ( in her case, her father made affidavit) mentioning the fact that birth was registered without name. I have CP interview on July 29th in Mumbai

same problem fo rsome other guys - do not remeber the

This is a common problem. Go to immihelp.com
there are samples of affidavits. You will need two affidavits testifying that the child mentioned in the birth certificate was named xx. Parents or an uncle (elder to you) is fine.
