Birth Certificate translation

Hi all, I just got a Request for Initial Evidence for copy of birth certificate in my native language and the English translation; both of which were submitted already. So I'm a little confused...where did I go wrong? My mom's friend did the translation, with the added statement as shown at USCIS site.
She did not, however, sign it in front of a notary. IS that the problem?
I know a while back we had to use 'a certified translator' (i.e. Prof. language translator), but maybe that's what they ask for in my case? Plz...help?

Maybe they misplaced it? get another copy, notarize it and take it to your DO with an infopass.

Infopass.....good idea! Thank's PraetorianXI! that was a handful to type:D:D Would I still have to send it to the address on the RFE letter?
