Birth Certificate Issue

Hi,

My name and my mothers name is missing in my birth certificate. As per the consulate requrement, I took the affedevit from First Class Megistrate. The only issue now is that the SEAL on affedvit is in HINDI.

Will this be an issue.

i think you must have you name and both your parents name on the birth certificate......

i have a question - i had my birth certificate prepared by both my parents, but it was sworn in front of a notary public and not a first class magistrate (as advised by my attorney ). now i see that it should be sworn before a magistrate. should i redo the affidavit?

did anyone else encounter a similar problem? thanks.

The Seal in Hindi should be ok. On my birth certificate and on my marriage certificate the registrar's seal are in Hindi and I have used them at many places (including American/Belgium/Canadian consulates) without any problem.
