Congrats on ur approval. Lack of BC in ur application may have
been overlooked but its true BC from consulate dosent help.

anupjethra,

you are lucky to get the approval with bc from consulate. I did the same and got an rfe last week. It says bc from indian consulate general , sanfrancisco is not sufficient for immigration purposes . and you need to get it from the "civilly registered or recorded birth certificate". Any way , I got the birth certificate ("civilly registered or recorded birth certificate". ) after filing my 485 so I can respond to the rfe now.
