Birth Certificate Expiration Date?

I'm getting married to a USC and I found a birth certificate I had in my office but it's dated back from November 2008. Is it still ok to provide it with the i-485?

My BC is from France, and normally there, the BC document is valid only for 3 months when you use it for any purpose in France, like making a passeport, driving licence etc... (even though there's no such mention of experiation on the BC document itself, all french government officials know it and look at the date it's been printed).

But since my BC doesn't mention any expiration date, i guess i can use it in US for my AOS, right? Or is there also a maximum time for BC in US?

If there is no expiration date then why should you care? Just bring it (with official translation if it's in french). It's kinda weird that BC can have an expiration date - never heard about it before!

The birth certificate basically proves when you were born which happened in a time in the past and that's a fact that will never change with time. Since it does not have expiration date on it, I would not worry about it. Just have it translated by a certified translator and attach to your I-485 application.
