birth certificate by indian consulate????? advice....

i saw in indian consulate in usa web site that issuing of birth certificates......., how far that is useful in green card purposes?????,


also can we give self affidavit instead of getting affidavit from parents for details missing on bith certificates?????

if from parnts only enough if one gives or wew need 2......?

please give ur responses..........................

I put the same question about the birth certificate from the U.S. consulate to my lawyer and I was told that the only document UCICS will accept is the original birth certificate from the home country. Otherwise, you will need to get the affidavits from parents. Please talk to your lawyer about it. And I do not have the answer for you regarding affidavits.
