Birth certificate and Passport Name different

Diversity Visa

New Member
I am an Indian citizen, born in Kuwait and currently living in USA.
I have an H4 visa .

The name in my birth certificate, issued in arabic is different from that in my passport.

My school certificates, passport, current visa and everything has SAME name, except my birth certificate.
So, I got 2 names say, ‘name1’ & ‘name2’. My birth certificate has ‘name1’, rest of the papers has ‘name2’ and I always go by ‘name2’ including my signatures.

How do I fix this? What are all my options in case if I want to continue with my ‘name2’ and not birth certificate ‘name1’?

Other than being born there, I have no connection to Kuwait.

Thanks for any inputs/directions.

How will the officer be able to tell that the birth certificate is yours and not that of another random person?

Is there a document that shows the connection between your two names?
