Birth Cert RFE

Folks,

Was wondering what will constitute good evidence on this front to reply to the RFE. I just found that a RFE was issued for a birth certificate on my i485.
I dont have an original birth cert available. What I do have is a certificate of domicile. Looks like a birth cert from a Consulate is not a substantial evidence.

Will appreciate input from the forum on what will work - affidavits from third party, school leaving certs etc .

You have obtain non-availability of birth certificate from your concern authority from your birth town/city. Also get 2 notarised affidavites from 2 relatives regarding your birth date and place etc . (If you have a lawyer, he can give you sample format of those affidavit).
This is what I did for such RFE on my wife's case, which is approved.

Consult your lawyer for confirmation.

Good Luck

Thanks for the response.

Is it fairly easy to get a cert documenting Non-availability of Birth Cert from a Municipal corp ? Can the affidavits be from uncles/aunts that dont have the same last name ?

Would appreciate input.

I am positive the requirement is anyone who is related to you and is older than you. That is what I recollect my attorney said me.
