Biometrics Question

I need some help/information/clarification

We received Biometrics (see my signature below) yesterday for myself, wife and younger child but NOT for other child who just turned 14. Is this the reason he hasn't received? Anyone in the same situation? Can I enquire this to make sure that the notice is not lost in mail or so.

Also recently I enquired thru our local congress man office. This is the response they got.

"The primary applicant's name check is still pending. Since my son just turned 14 they intiated name check for him as well."

Now the interesting comment about my son:
"Once his name check is cleared they will send the fingerprints"

Does this mean, those who got FP/Biometrics have cleared their name check? Doesn't look like that way as in my case itself they are still saying name check pending.Any way thought I will just share this info but appreciate if someone can answer about my second child's NOT receiving Biometrics.

Also can I use my driver license as Photo ID as I just send my current passport for renewal?

Of course you can .... if you look at the notice, it clearly mentions that you should bring:

PP, DL, National ID, Military ID or State Photo ID.

So DL alone would be sufficient.
