It seems I am not the only person in this situation. Today, I received my wife's biometric notice in mid March. Nothing for me so far (my I-485, principal application, was filed 6 mos earlier than my wife's). More confusing, the online/email update did not show this notice, I am wondering whether the people issuing FP notice work independently of the case processor. What makes me more outrageous is the fact that our case status had been unaccesible since July 2005! through telephone. And it never changed on the web since then. I told TSC multiple times, these stupid morons never took care of that!! They just let it that way!!!!.
Please post the followup if you have fingured out what your actual reason for this situation.
Thanks and good luck to all

Sounds familiar ...

blueblack,

All this sounds very familiar to what has been happening in my case. If you check my details you will find that my case along with my wifes was TRX to a wrong local office. Ever since the wrong TRX my process has been nothing short of a nightmare. For the longest time I had no idea where my case was. Last year my wife got her Bio notice and even an RFE while there was no news on where my file was. The online status kept stating that it was in Miami. I had a feeling that our cases had gotten separated and so I wrote to the Ombudsmans office and was finally able to get a confirmation from TSC that my file is back in their system. Finally I received a Bio notice for myself a week ago.

What I am trying to say is that something similar may have happened in your case. You should try to follow up and make sure that your case is with your wifes and not separated. Try calling and finding out if you can. Let me know if you need more guidance or help. Thanks to my luck, I am now an expert at messed up cases :)

not separated

Hi Saras,
Thanks for replying. I called TSC and was told the cases were not separated. AND strangely, my wife's (as well as mine) namecheck is still pending. What does it make sense to have biometrics now. Do you think my wife should reschedule her biometrics or she need to come back to US for the biometrics?
Good luck to you,

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but I am guessing that they are sending FP/Bio notices to everybody who has not done their FP(esp code 3) and everybody who's Biomertics are alteast 1yr old.

Sounds right, mine and my wife's are just over one year since our first FP (I believe is code 1). How do we know the one we did is what category?
Thanks,

it's the regular number 18003755283, but you need to get the case status for whatever case you have with them, and then choose "separated cases", it will go to TSC. Sorry I don't rem the key numbers, there are quick a bit discussion here. Just search for it.

Yes seems like it ...

spulla,

I agree with you. However, it is a positive sign that atleast they are collecting all the relevant information on the pending cases. This way cases can be looked at and approved fairly quickly after their PDs become current. For me personally, just getting a notice and finding out that my case is in TSC is great news.

Saras,

I agree with you. Any movement in the forward direction is good. At least, TSC knows that we exist.
