I don't think you can ignore it (well - not if you want the plastic card !!)

You should do the biometrics -- they are not issuing plastic cards w/o that these days.

Get the notice and give your biometrics as scheduled -- this is a good thing - you should get the card soon after completing this step !

Hi Max2k1,

1. Does USCIS change their practice from passport stamping to biometrics(fingerprint, photo and signature) then directly send you GC plastic card after that? Does any one have the same experience?

2. In the new practice, does my spouse need to give USCIS all of the I-94 (H1-B), EAD back to USCIS?

3. Will they take all of the 10 finger prints or only right hand index finger print? My spouse has a lot of cracks on fingers. Only index finger is good.

4. Should my spouse need to bring Photos to the appointment?

5. How long my spouse will receive Plastic Card after the biometrics?

6. Does my spouse need infopass to have passport stamped?

7. Will the Application support Center take away the 485 approval notice? If this is the case, how can my spouse go to immigration office to have passport stamp without original approval notice?

Thank you very much for your help!

Just index print
4. Should my spouse need to bring Photos to the appointment?
No photo but Photo ID along with Biomet notice
5. How long my spouse will receive Plastic Card after the biometrics?
Generally within 7-10 business days6. Does my spouse need infopass to have passport stamped? PL.see your 485 approval notice7. Will the Application support Center take away the 485 approval notice? If this is the case, how can my spouse go to immigration office to have passport stamp without original approval notice? They don't care about 485 approval notice, they do care for the Biomet notice, original, that too after biomet they will return it to you. they don't keep even a single piece of paper
Thank you very much for your help!

Thanks max2k1

Hi,

Thanks very much max2k1 for your response. It was my attorneys paralegal advised me about ignoring the notice. After your response I have sent an email to my attorney and he concurred with you. I went to biometric on 15t and got the notification email saying "your card is ordered" on the same day.

With this my theory of "validating information with more than one person is the best way of knowing the right thing to do" stands correct.

Thanks all,
