Biometrics @ different location possible?

I received the notice to give biometrics shortly after my I485 was approved; but the letter says I need to go to a local ASC in Houston area. I moved from TX to TN the year before and had my address updated; actually, I did my regular FP at the Nashville ASC. Not sure why this time the appointment is made at the Houston office. I called the 800 #, the rep did not know much about it and said I could go to the Nashville ASC to try see if they will accept. The issue is that even Nashville is still 2.5 hrs away for me. I don’t want to waste a day if the local ASC typically doesn’t accept others appointments. I ‘d rather just get on a plane going to Houston.

Anyone had the similar situation please share your experiences. Thanks.
 
Biometric notice Date

Hi FrankWW,

What was your 485 approval date and when did you recieve Biometric Notice?
My 485 also was recently approved ( 12/22/05). I had an issue with address change and AR-11. Finally I got that straigthed. I am wondering how long before I receive my Biometeric notice.

My AD is 12/27/05. I received the approval notice on 1/3 and another notice for biometrics on 1/10 (sent to my lawyer). I just did it today at Nashville ASC.
 
Take an appointment

For Biometrics, you can go to any ASC. Did they give you appointment date and time?

If so, call NCSC for change of location.

If not, take an appointment through the phone of NCSC before going to ASC. They will give you a date and time.
