I recently recieved biometrics Code 1 for my spouse and kid who turned 14 on 9/2/05 to be done at New Orleans .

I called the TSC to find an alternative center , but was told to wait another week and call again. Just sharing this info for anybody else who is in a similiar situation .

Sorry to hear about it, it seems u were also affected by this disaster.

Where do you live?

I believe we heard news that all attorney were allowed to practice to another neighbouring state, and I believe you may take appointemnt or just walk-in INS main office near u are staying.

Wish u Good Luck?

Thanks POJ ,

I live in pensacola FL and we were at the edge of this storm and escaped any real damage .
Our Service Center is Jacksonville but lately TSC has been scheduling FP and Biometrics at New Orleans for logistics reasons .

I will call TSC next week before driving to Jacksonville (>5 Hours) .

Glad to hear all fine,

Well I believe TSC would treat that request as genine issue and would resolve it

Here what is published on USCIS, it seems they would publish more guide ppl who were affected by Hurricane.

USCIS Continues Operations After Hurricane Katrina
USCIS is aware of the impact that Hurricane Katrina has had on some of our customers, especially the immigrant communities of the Gulf Coast. We are reviewing processes that will allow us to continue our operations and ensure that immigrants are able to receive benefits and services. Those immigration services and related guidance will be posted here when available

H1 Hurricane Victims

Please reply to this message if anybody knows some arrangements are being made by Federal Government for displaced hurricane H1 employees working as School Teachers(Certified & Credentialed) in New Orleans to be placed in other states on priority basis. Is there a possibility of Expediting LCA under the circumstances, if requested? All members please advice.

I believe once they finish the evacution, then they would be giving some guide for ppl who can contiune their professional practice, currently only Attorney were given preference to practice in other state. but I am sure other occupation will also get some advantage.

They may have some program not yet published yet. if u have concenrs feel free to post detail of any help u or anyoen may be looking for, ppl can read and help you /them out.
