Hello there,

Yesterday I got the biometrics appointment notice for I-765 and I-485.
For I-765 the appointment is on 01/24/2011 at 1:00 PM and for I-485 the appointment is on 01/25/2011 at 8:00 AM. I have several question about biometrics:

1. Why two biometrics appointment for two forms, i thought it would be just one?
2. How and where do i pay the biometrics fee of $70? Do i have to pay the fee for two forms separately, that is $140?
3. Can i walk in for my biometrics appointment. I don't drive and my spouse has school starting from Jan 18. Does anyone have an experience walking in at ASC Naperville?

Happy new year to all :)

I just went through the check that was cashed. It was $1070 ($985 for I-485 + $85 for biometrics). So do i still have to pay for the biometrics of I-765?

USCIS made a mistake, when you got for your biometric appt, explain to the officer at the ASC your situation, because they can use the same collected biometrics for all of your pending petitions. No need to pay for any biometric fees, the one submitted covers all of your petitions. You will need a good reason to just do a walk-in for biometrics, some ASC will turn you away. Send a PM to Triple Citizen, he's in Naperville, IL and maybe he can give you ideas on a walk-in.

Take both the letters and get your finger prints. In some cases, the will take prints of all your fingers and for some its only the index finger. Walk in to any ASC center, don't wait for the actual date. ASC has no problems taking you earlier than your actual appointment date. If they ask you if you have an appointment, just hand them your appointment letters, as simple as that. Keep addresses of couple of other ASC centers in your area just in case they refuse you. Its a very simple process and there is nothing to worry about.
