Our I-485 was approved (Oct. 10, 2006) and received the card a week after. In a letter from our lawyer (received last week), it said we have to do fingerprinting. The letter said we shall receive an appointment letter from BCIS if not, we shall call BCIS for appointment after 60 days of approval. Our lawyer said this is a new requirement, is it? Anybody in this forum who have recently received their green card and ask by BCIS for fingerprinting? By the way our last fingerprinting prior I485 approval was April 2006.
