Biometric requirements and it's imapct : no more visa revals in US?

Hi,

Came to know that USCIS has tightened the rules to the extream. St. Louis based visa revalidation (stamping of visa) centre will no longer accept the applications and the program will end by Oct 2004. Result? All immigrants who wants their visa to be stamped in the passport must go outside US for the same.

What are other implications? What's the last acceptance date of visa revalidation application from USCIS? Does anyone know?

Revalidation application should be received by DOS on or before July 14,2004 for visa revalidation.

This is making international travel tough while on H1 status. Getting appointments at consulates abroad is taking lot of time and need lot of planning.
