Biographic information... Residence

I resided in Australia with my wife for a year before we came down to the US on an H1B and H4 in Mar 2002.
My wife took a break from Australia and visited India for 4 months. She joined me in the US after a few months in June 2002.
While filling the residence for last 5 years column - do I have to indicate the times she was outside US.
She has maintained her Non resident status in India (she has not stayed for more than 6 months) - so does her stay in India count as residence outside USA for the purpose of G325A.
Any ideas anyone...

It is always advisable to give the exact details of your and your wife's stay all over, during the past 5 years,especially stays covering different countries.

If you do not mention it, then there might be a problem.Incase they browse through your passport, the entry/exit stamps are all over and you may face unwanted questions.

However, if you have had any issues concerning such stays, then you should consult an attorney.
