Have you received your finger print notice? In the finger print notice, there is a code (1, 2 or 3). 3 means regular FP and biometrics, 1 means regular FP only and 2 means Biometrics only.

For biometrics, ASC capture your digital signature, digital index print and a digital photo of yours. This information is used to process green card (plastic card) once your I-485 is approved. This is basically to avoid I-551 stamping process.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot.

FP Notice code

Hi,
I looked in my FP notice. I don't see a code. My FP notice was last year (Oct 2004. Where should I look for the code ?

Biometrics was introduced only few months back. I think after Jan'2005, not very sure about that.

Thanks for the info, that was helpful.

I received RFE for self (primary), and also got Biometrics notice (code 2) for my spouse. So what you said make sense, as they may be getting ready to issue card to spouse if my case gets approved after RFE.

Fingerprint after 15 months

I did my finger print on 30JAN2004 and after 15 months it expires on 30APR2005 Whether I will receive second fingerprint or not
