I was an F1 student until early April 2004. That's when I applied for AOS. My Advance Parole was approved on May 30 (checked online) but I haven't received the actual AP document yet. On July 3, however, I had to go to Germany. In my opinion this was conform with the immigration law, as I left the US AFTER my AP was approved. Is this correct?
The problem I'm facing now is, that I have to go back to the US on July 19, but my wife (who is still in the US) hasn't gotten the AP yet, which she would mail to Germany right away of course.
Can anyone suggest anything or post a similar experience etc? Can I go to the US or can I get an interim AP if I don't receive the real one?
