I got married back in the Philippines while my I485 is still pending. Now I'm back in the US with my 485 still pending, while my wife was left behind in the Philippines. Of course I want her to come with me here as soon as possible.
Now, our corporate lawyer informed me that I could not start concurrent filing of my wife's GC papers unless she is able to come here to the US. If she can't come, I have to wait until my GC gets approved, before I could her processing could start. So I'm thinking of having her come under B2 (tourist) so that we could be together here in the US while waiting for our papers.
The thing is, she had already been denied a B2 visa once (4 mos) ago due to lack of ties, her reason was tourism back then. Now I'm thinking of having her try again, but what's the best reason to use this time?
What if she says that we'll be having our honeymoon here since I went back here immediately after the wedding. What are the chances of that getting approved, knowing that I, her husband has a pending GC application?
Or is it better to try again using tourism as reason, but this time maybe we should apply via a travel agency?
Any insights are highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
