How to file?
Hi guys, I am in what probably is not the most unusual of situations, but there are a few circumstances I'd like peoples opinion on before I make my next move.
I just had my PERM certified (hurrah) and am not ready to move to the next stage. I'm from Ireland so retrogression won't apply. AFAIK, I can thus apply for I-140, I-485, and I-765 concurrently. However I am currently out of the US assisting on a project. I actually left to get my second H1 put in my passport in the Dublin consulate but got snagged to go assist in the UK office for what may be around 2 months.
So what should I do? AFAIK, I should be in the US for the I-485 filing, but not the I-140. However, I would like to cut down on the total wait time which can be done if I file concurrently (is this correct?)
So I have two options (as far as I see it, I'm open to the views of the more knowledgeable people on the board)-
1 - Sit it out here for a few months and the file concurrently when I go back
2 - File the I140 as soon as possible and then the rest when I get back.
And opinions?
