I Had My Marriage Inteview Today. The Officer Was Very Jung And Unsure Of Herself. We Had Everything From Th Ecommon Joint Docs Through Pictures, Tax Everything, But She Told Us That She Has No Authorization To Approve A Case And She Needs To Discuss It With Her Supervisor. Any Idea How Long Will It Take? Any Similar Experience Would Be Much Appreciate It. Thx

Hi,

We had our interview on March 16th. Our officer looked kind of young too and wasn't very nice, frankly.

At the end of the interview, she said: i'll have to review your case and see what my supervisor says.

We asked if background check was completed or not- and she said she'd check on that as well (wouldn't give us a 'yes' or 'no' answer).

5 weeks later, we got an approval email.

My question is- do you know if your background check has gone through? That seems to be the main reason why most people wait so long. I think, even with supervisor approval, one may end up waiting for a long while, if FBI check is not completed. I don't think just a supervisor approval by itself should prolong the case too much.

Maybe if you gave us the DO where you had your interview- someone else from the same DO, could give you more specific information.

Thanks For Answering Me. Since We Applied More Than 2,5 Years Ego My Background Check Must Had Cleared Yet. Last Year We Had An Interview But They Didn't Find My File. I Hope It Will Not Take Longer Than Yours, Because I Have No Idea How To Follow Up. Did The Officer Give You Any Name, Number To Call??? My Interview Was In Miami, Fl.
