Before you send an AOS package

I'm going to file my AOS application very soon and I have 2 simple questions before I do it.

1. How to mark an envelope, so that people in USCIS know that I'm a DV-2006 lottery winner and so that they could proccess it faster since we, the winners, have to finish the whole procedure before September 30th ?
2. If you put any note on the front of the envelope, do you also mark the I-485 form the same way or is it only on envelope ?

1. "Winner of Diversity Visa Lottery 2006 !" - red color, i did it in that manner...
2. does not matter for I-485, the main concern is that Immigration officers should have criteria to distinguish your mail envelop from all others ....The Label on the main envelop is a main criteria ....

i did not put any mark on my envelope so do u guys think they will process mine late? when i got the rejection notice because of sending wrong fee it took for me to get it back around 25 days and then i sent it again with the right fee again it took 25 days for them to reply me... i guess thats the regular replying time for USCIS. WHat about yours??

to Canonurum:
i would contact them (via INFOPASS) and "remind" them about your envelop. In other words, i would ask them on appointment to "look for my documents", if possible. it means they select your envelop and they will know that you are diversity visa winner. it can really save time. BUT, that might be unnessasery procedure. i would wait month or so , if you do not have any notice from them, then it might be useful to do procedure above ...

A question to greg_dv2006

Hi! I just read your previous posts and found out that we are in the same situation: I am on H1B and my husband is on H4, but we do not have stamps in our passports.
Do you ask for advance parole? do you ask for EAD for yourself? How do you justify the application for advance parole?

Hi Yuna,
No, I didn't ask for advance parole, but yes, I did file the application for EAD, I-765 (application for employment authorization) together with I-485, and G-325A
