i read somewhere on the forum that : you need to reside in the district where u file for 3 months before filing.

i wanted to make sure if that information is correct.

and also, what happens if u dont reside in the district where u file for 3 months before filing?

thank you

also, i forgot to mention, i was in Canada(fulltime student) 3 months before i filed my application in TX, so do u think that could be an exception that could be allowed?

When applying you must specify where u lived in the last 5 years . so when INS checkes that they will return your application back an tell you to wait 3 mnths before you apply or deny it at a later time ( interview maybe ) and you lose you $$$$$ ... also read the instruction :)

so they either tell me at first when i am applying that i should wait 3 months, or they will tell me at the interview, right?
