I have just passed my interview and am waiting for a letter for the oath ceremony. I have requested a name change. I would also like to change a name for my child (to match mine). He is younger than 18 and has a green card, so he also becomes a citizen automatically when I do. However, since he is not going through this whole process, I am not sure how I should go about changing his name.
If I wait until I change mine and then go to the county court, the fee, as I found out, is $155, which I think is ridiculous. Is there any way to do it in federal court together with me changing my name?
