As per a news report on immigration-law.com, BECs are still prcessing Aprill 2001 cases that belongs to NON-RIR category(http://www.immigration-law.com)

"AILA has reported that the BECs are still processing April 2001 traditional cases for the traditional case track and it is not expected to move ahead for sometime due to the huge number of 245(i) cases which were filed in April 2001".

If this report is true, movement of PDs will be very tough especially for EB3.

The dates will not move based on the anticipated surge of filings. The only good thing that can come out of this is that DOL, DOS and USCIS will have an idea of the true number of cases that will make it to the 485 stage. Anyway, things are not looking good. This 245i crap has come to haunt me a second time. My labor took 2 years because of it and now my GC has been delayed indefinitely because of it. Oh well, luck of the draw :) There is no point in dwelling on it. We have been unfortunate but this to shall pass ...

cheers,

saras
