Be prepared-questions for the interview-just in case

Thanks Kaktus,

We were thinking that we are all prepared because we don't have anything to hide, but going through the list of questions just 2 days prior to the interview has made us believe that you can never be too prepared. Going through those questions made us realize how the misinterpretation or rather different interpretation of the same question can throw you out of synch and invite trouble.

Thanks,

I think the purpose of the list is to prepare people for a fraud interview. From the text above the list:
"If the officer suspects that your marriage is fraudulent, you will be meeting the fraud unit. [...] People who do not seem to share a common language, have large differences in age, class, cultural, religion, educational background or who don't live at the same address may be called for fraud interview. [...] You may be called for fraud interview after your USCIS (for I-485) or consular interview. You may also be called when you apply to remove the conditions on your green card to convert from conditional to permanent."
The Web site appears to differentiate between a regular Adjustment-of-Status interview and a fraud interview. Just keep that in mind before you get too intimidated by the lenghty list of detailed questions.

I think (and I hope not to change my mind after my future interview) that if the marriage is in bona-fide and there is no specific critical situation, there should be nothing to worry about. Just go there and answer the questions.

I also understand the officers. They're just trying to do their job. Unfortunately, we have to go through this because many people in the past took advantage of this and frauded the INS. It's just a defende-mechanism from USCIS.

It's like complaining because our auto insurance is insanely high.....because there are people that commit frauds.

Anyways, break a leg and in bocca al lupo (we never say "good luck" in my country).

Yes, I too believe that the listed questions were for stokes interview (the second interview) - but you never know what you might be asked. If one of these questions were asked, I don't think we can say 'its out of syllabus' lol... Oh well, I thought its better to be over prepared than under. Hope we wouldn't be asked any tricky questions.

Just remember where you have been and things like that...some of the questions that people get all like "surprise" is because they do not recall what they wrote on the G-325a and the other forms...they are just going through what you said it was true and are confirming it with you...and then people are like "ohhh I don't know...", hello? you wrote it right? So keep that in mind as well.

Good luck!

Thanks, i will add it to the other set of quesitons on the AOS interview timeline thread.

Thanks that link and that web site were a big help in filling in some holes I had in my information. My wife is going to be interviewed in China, so, if anyone has any specific information about the Guangzhou interview, please let me know.

You are 100% right. THe IM went through our g-325 - I didn't provide my temporary residence - and my husband mentioned that he used to pick me up from that address :( when we started dating.
I think they may ask these question without fraud interview.
We went for AOS interview and we were seeparated
