As some of you have experienced not even BCIS Website works anymore. I have done my FP on 5/19/03. They did not update the message up to today. Not even an update saying that the letter for FP appointment was posted on the Website.
Therefore I decided to call today to find out if they received the FP, I know FBI sent my FP in the very same day they were done. I called two times, and talked to two different officers. As we would guess, it was useless because they did not tell me anything. However, both officers said to me that it was taking 29 months to process I485 now. 29 months are 870 days not 990 to 999 as it is stated in the Website or as it was stated to some folks in this forum when they called just after they changed the number to the 1 800 central system. So I felt a little bit relief because of this 120 days improvement.
However something is bugging me now... If it is taking 29 months and there was an improvement how come we have not seen any approvals in this forum lately?... Where are the old folks like TRU and POONGUNRANAR? Did they get approved and left? Or just got tired? I have not seen any messages from them lately.

Got the same info

I called BCIS 1800 number the other day and he told me that I have to wait till 29 months after 485 Receipt date before it is considered late.

485 10/01
FP 02/03

He could not tell me if my 485 is assigned to an officer.

I also spoke to 1 800 number to a lady day before yesterday. She told me too that it takes 29 Months.

But, she told me that that is the time from receipt date to until you get your plastic card in hand.
 
Everything is OK but what is the use if BCIS keeps extending the days. I have been waitng for 26 months. In past 26 months I have seen these number of days increase moment my days come closer.

How we all guys are going to get approval if TSC keeps on increasing the days?

It is like moving a carrot.
 
I called BCIS too..

Recently when I called BCIS, She asked me to wait atleast 31 months before I even Inquire about my case. She didn't even take my Receipt number when I said Aug'2001. And when I asked about my EAD renewal (3rd EAD applied on 30th June), She said it is delayed by 8 months but she asked me to go to local office after 90 days and renew it.

I hope this is true. If so, then maybe I will receive an approval notice before the end of this year.

26 months and counting...

It will be 26 months for me this august 22nd......I have not seen a single approval in this forum...I agree with longGC...everytime my dates come closer, the processing dates are moved farther again!!!!!....I have no hopes of getting my GC this year :mad:

I was told it takes 29 months and i should get a reply in August /September.
Could you post your details? When did you do your fp?

Try to forget about 485

If you can totally forget about 485 and green card stuff, the next day you will get progress.
