BCIS asking for income tax return documents as a joint filer (myself and spouse) as a proof for good
faith marriage. Anyone knows what documents serves this purpose. Do we have to request IRS for anything.

Tax Return

You need to submit your Individual Federal Tax Returns Form 1040 or 1040 A or 1040 EZ (whichever form you used for filing your tax returns) for the latest 2 years (2001 & 2002). The tax returns must be signed & dated. Also include the copies of W-2s.

this is better than transferring to local

office, I guess. Did your get approved already and this is for the dependent?

Submit you joint tax pages for the last two years after marriage.
