The BCIS officer that I spoke with
confirmed that the I-140 petition on your behalf was still pending. and also conformed that I140 received in June
2002, was recently joined with my I-485 applications which was
received in September 2002. As these filings are now together, the BCIS
will not review the I-140 petition until they start processing I-140's
received in September 2002. This seems to be the way the BCIS is handling
I-140/I-485 concurrent filings. The BCIS officer estimated another six
months for processing on the I-140.

Would anyone from the from know if the above could be true . Please post ur exp.

As these filings are now together, the BCIS will not review the I-140 petition until they start processing I-140's (U mean I-140 or I-485 here?) received in September 2002.

Lots of people got I-140 approved before they are starting processing I-485 via concurrent filing. Why do you believe so?

I had similar experience. My attorney's office called them during second week of april. They got similar info. They said they have changed the policy now and now they working on those backlog cases. They told like they are now working on may cases and mine is may case. Only god knows when they will approve.

RD of 485 is RD of 140????????????????

Thanks for sharing your information. We have seen more November and December approvals than June approvals. I think they apply some special logic for the May/June/July applicants. If they combine both the applications and consider 485 RD as 140's RD, then how come some of the June applicants got their approvals..... I think our LUCK plays an important role. If it is going to take 6 months for approval of June cases , then the processing period is going to be 360+180 days= 540...... Do you guys think that they won't process Nov,Dec,Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr,May, JUne (2003!!!!)applications between these 6 month periods...... Ignore their utterings and have a nice weekend!

Dear Friends:
Hope someone will donate some time for me to reply my mail regarding RFE.
After receiving my RFE how many days usually BCIS offices take to open my case.

Hang in there and keep your fingers crossed. With the given conditions nobody is certain. Just wait & see game I guess.

I was analyzing some data of the series EAC02202. There is no relation of any kind. There are some RFE cases waiting since November. 50 % cases are approved. Around 15% are RFE cases rest are pending. Almost all cases are May 30th cases others are June 8 the cases.

Just a thought.
