BCIS - New Name

In the latest issue of Greg Siskind's immigration bulleting I read that DHS is changing the name of all immigration bureaus by dropping “bureau” and adding “United States” to the beginning of their names. Thus the agency known as BCIS will be referred to as USCIS.

THIS IS GREAT NEWS!
They are finally working on backlog reduction! I'm sure there won't be any interview de-scheduling notices anymore and Oath notices will be sent out in 2 days. There won't be any bureau anymore, thus no more bureaucrats! Instead it will be a service again!

DHS, you've just made may day!

:D :D :D

But hey, at least the webpage designers, and the people printing new forms are keeping their jobs...
I don't think so. It still calls itself INS (at least on its stationary). USPS calls
it INS. I think we could still call it INS. There is no harm except for the
software guys (among us) who are worried about compiler errors like
undefined symbols)

chanakya,

They will alway be INS to me until something else changes besides their name on their web site.;)
