BCIS increased fee for all applications

30 days period

It will be effective shortly
As per the USCIS website, the proposal to increase fee is open for public comments for a period of 30 days, after which it willl go into effect "shortly".

Anybody can send their own coments to a published e-mail address. Here is the link http://uscis.gov/graphics/publicaff...ease_020304.pdf

I would suggest to increase the fee 100% or more for I140 and I485, with a guarantee to complete within 3 months from ND.

:D :D Great thoughts Prashant. So USCIS is going to hire new people to process our cases and reduce the backlog.

But from our experience, we know that if they hire more people,

1. There will be more stupid RFEs issued.
2. There will be more denials for stupid reasons.
3. There will be lot of mistakes in Processing due to lack of common sense.

So backlogs??? It won't be same as now. But Will be more.

To be frank, I am more worried :( about the new hires, than the backlog.
