04/27/2003: BCIS Online Filng Launch and Schedules

On April 25, 2003, BCIS announced that it would launch online immigration form filing systems step by step. According to the AILA, the following is the current schedule of implementation of online filing system:

04/29/2003: Publish the online filing regulation

05/29/2003: Start online filing of EAD application (I-765) and Replacement Green Card Application (I-90)

By 09/30/2003: Start online filing of I-129 Temporary Worker Petition, I-140 Immigrant Petition, I-131 Advance Parole/Reentry Permit, I-539 Application for Change/Extension of Nonimmigrant Status, and I-821

Addtional Online Filing Forms Without Any Fixed Date of Launch: I-485 Application for Adjustment of Status to Permanent Residence, I-751 Petition to Remove Condition to Permanent Residence Status, N-400 Naturalization Application, and N600/N643.

The first phase of I-765 and I-90 online filing will require appearance of the applicants at Application Support Center for photograph and fingerprinting.

It is hoped that the online filing system will help in reducing processing times for immigration benefits applications/petitions.

I think they mistyped....looking at the present situation, It should be 'STONE AGE' instead of digital age

Just another way of earning money

BTW Digital Age means to speed up the process and reduce process times but here it means trapping more people's careers, aspirations and dreams and hold them ransom...

Hopefully i am wrong

I have a wonderful business idea for start-up. It will be web site that automatically submit application for renewal EAD every six months for registered users.

Tasse, yea we could use kashmir's script to query their website with a few tweaks. Have an active user profile in it, and link a tracker based on that.

did u guys notice this ...?

why do I get the feeling that the regular, good old mailing method sounds better at this stage .....?

Actually my experience with the San Jose finger printing office wa so good, that I wouldn't really mind going for photographs and FP there.

It is actually not such a bad thing, just that INS screws things that we feel immigration is such a huge thing. Once you sub contract the job, individual contractors are so much better and faster. Nothing like IIO's and government officials!

I agree with you ....

as far as San Jose is concerned. My experience also was a very good one. I wonder if we could say the same about, Newark, Nj for eg?
