Hi!

I've noticed that some people although they have approved I-140 through NIW are applying for EB-1A.
What is the advantage of that since if your I-140 is approved you have to apply for I-485, why you would try different category? Is it because the process is faster?

yes, due to retrogression countries like India, china and Philippines. Eventhough they have I-140 approved their 485 will not processed until they get the visa number which is alreast more than 2 years from now
