Hi,
Could anyone tell me if there is a specific bottom line figure that should be in the bank all the time? Would they check that there are payroll deposits regularly into the account or do they check if there is outstanding balance?
dont believe this guy. you need bank statement to support what you put down in I-134.
If you ask the bank to give you bank statement for immigration purposes they give you a stament with average balance for last 3-6 months. They charge you for this statement but this is the statement you should use.
They may not see a single document as was the case for my parents that does not mean that you go with just your passport and the drafts.
As to levels it is advised that you meet the poverty levels as defined by USCIS at least there is a table (search for it) that defines these numbers for household sizes and states.
