Bank Statement or Travelors Checks

Can any one tell me! Do you need to carry Travelors checks or Bankstatement when immigrationg to CANADA from US? Are they paticular about it. How much do we need to show Is it 10K in Canadaian currency or I mentioned I bring 30K in the application?

1) You need to show the money that is expected of you , depending on the family size .
2) If you show in USDs then they will convert it to CDN and write it
on your landing paper.
3) I have heard that for applicants landing from the US, a bank statement is usually enough, but if you want to be 100 % safe use
travellers checks. ( i personally used them ) also canadian banks
cash travellers checks on the spot, but they will take 6 weeks to
cash a cahsiers check from a US bank.

I used my Bank syatement and it was enough.
