Hi guys, Can someone please tell me if Bangladesh eligible for this year (2013) DV lottery? Because in instruction its saying that No natives from Bangladesh is eligible for this year. So that mean I cannot apply for this year?. But is there any chance that Bangladesh become eligible for next year? thank you.

Sorry, nobody born in Bangladesh is eligible this year. If you're a citizen of Bangladesh but born in an eligible country you may still apply for DV-2013.
Bangladeshi born natives will only be eligible in DV-2018 if the aggregate amount of people they send to the USA is deemed to not exceed 50,000 immigrants in the previous five years in the family-sponsored, employment, or immediate relatives of U.S. citizen categories. This will only be determined once the new statistics are published by the US DoS.

As far as I know they ban countries who sends more than 50 K immigrants within last 5 years and Bangladesh is one of them, and they ban them for 5 following years.
That is correct. In the best case, Bangladesh will back for DV-2018
that's why I felt very bad for former May 1st selectees from Bengladesh.... basycaly it was their last hope
