The officer at Baltimore told me my case has been scheduled for an interview on 01/09/2001. My case was transferred to Baltimore from VSC on 06/13/00. Looks like Baltimore picked up 200 series boxes.

How did you come to know they scheduled an interview? Did you go there in person to ask about interview? It\'s good thing now Baltimore INS Has stared processing of 485 transfer cases.

My case was recently transfered from VSC to Portland.

here are my details:-

Priority date : Feb-13-1998

I-485 Receipt Date : Jul-06-1999
I-485 Notice Date : Jul-27-1999

Finger print Done : 09-May-2000 Portland Oregon

I received no RFE.

Case transfered to Portland Oregon on Oct-26-2000.

I am currently on EAD and 6 years of H1 visa already expired.

Recently only my case was transfered by VSC and I have no idea why
they transferred my case there.

I am trying to collect as much information as possible.
I also want to know in what order local INS processes the cases
for I-485 interview.

Do this mix these transfered cases with other I-485 family based
cases?

Do they use I-485 Notice date from Service Center to process.

Please let me know, based on your experience and your own information.

I called them up to inquire about the status inquiry letter I wrote more than a month ago, and the officer told me it\'s been scheduled and they are in the process of mailing out the notice, since my interview is more than 2 months away they will send it out sometime in November.

You can visit your local INS office and they will give you information about your case.
Regarding timeline, Baltimore started scheduling interviews since August 2000 for cases transferred in June. VSC transferred about 4000 cases to Baltimore in June, and they are scheduling interviews ever since. I don\'t know about timelines of portland. Generally, Baltimore is the fastest of all the local INS offices to schedule interviews.

How did you get this number?? I am looking for a similar number for Portland INS Office. Did you get it from any web-site??
