baikal3, Need your help

hb0211, I basically agree with the reply of JoeF to your original post and there is not much to add.

1) the address portion of part 2 in the form is ONLL for those people who use option f) "applying for AP for another person who is outside of US".

You need to give your US address in part 1 of the form, check option a) in part 2 and leave the rest of part 2 blank.

2) I would give the actual expected length of the trip, whatever it is (10 months in your case as I understand). I have the impression that INS is processing AP and re-entry permit applications on the basis of formal eligibility (the fact that you have a GC should be sufficient, whether or not you already have specific travel plans).

JoeF is correct: there is a misprint in part 3 of the form where they ask where you want the permit to be sent. Check option a) there and correct by hand "Address given in Part 2 above" to "address given in part 1 above". Actually, I missed this misprint, and simply checked a). My permit was mailed to my US address listed in part 1 of the form anyway.

3) Write the real reason of your trip. As I said, it seems to me that INS does not particularly look at the reason for the trip now, but it is a good idea to always give them truthful information.
