Yesterday we had been to SFO INS Office for my wife's GC stamping in passport.
Reached Samson street around 10.30 am, there were 10 people before us {there were at least 30 people in Washington street line} Requested guard is it right line to PP STAMPING and got answer "yes" FROM HIM. But inside guard said we should stand in Washington street line, but let my wife go in when argued that outside guard told her to stand in that line.
There are another 20 to 25 people in line to get token. Finally around 11.15 they announced no more tokes for day.
Nobody bothered to call our series token no {Of course nobody in cubical for 2 hours} when my wife complained about nobody there in cubical, some body shown up in cubical but she took at least 30 min for each person.
Finally around 4.20 we got call for stamping. Totally it took 6 hours for just stamping.
Funny thing was I saw any given time at least 4 INS Employees were outside of Ins building for smoking or chitchat.
One messenger/employee {file mover} she was out side for 2 hours and 15 min not going in to Office with files. Now I have first hand experience why we have this much backlog.
suggestion is better to stand in washington street for stamping.
